NOW: The new ERCA Site-Specific Trainer Award goes live!

We now serve what was requested from many operators in the ropes course industry: a new route in the ERCA-certification scheme for training was established which allows to become an ERCA site-specific trainer!

The ERCA site-specific trainer award is ideal for those who would like to train their own members of staff specifically to the requirements of their own ropes course site. So you can combine everything:
  • ○ receive high quality training yourself developing your skills further,
  • ○ benefit from adjusted course pre-requisites (saving time and money), and
  • ○ the opportunity to issue certificates under the well-recognised ERCA training certification scheme towards your members of staff.

In order to attend in one of our train-the-trainer courses you can now decide for yourself at which level you want to enter: if you possess a site-specific rescuer award you can enter the route to become an ERCA site-specific trainer; If you possess a generic rescuer award you enter the generic trainer route. In all cases three scopes are to choose from: Traditional Ropes Courses, Adventureparks and Temporary Ropes Courses.

In each scope the candidates attend the same modules and duration of the training course. However, during the rescue assessment only such techniques are assessed which are required for the intended award you are going for. The issued certificate will detail the technique(s) and the ropes course site it is valid for.

If an ERCA-certified site-specific trainer would like to acquire the generic trainer award at a later stage, they only need to complete the required additional rescuer modules and send in the proof (certificates) to the ERCA office for them to check and to issue the upgrade award.
