Meeting of the ERCA Mastertrainer Team

This year, the Mastertrainer team decided to meet for an extra day to work on the train-the-trainer programs. After an intensive exchange, various presentation methods were discussed in order to create a balanced program. There will be a database created so that master trainers have access to the collection. At the next meeting, the group would like to shoot a video that can be used to train the assessment of rescue procedures.

Meeting of the Expert Group Training

At the large group meeting, the goals achieved in the past year were first discussed and working groups were set up for the next topics. The training sector never stands still and some of the new ideas offer new benefits to all members, such as webinars offered by experts from the ropes course industry.

CPD-workshop about rescue training

Some of us completed the week by adding a workshop day on the topic of “rescue”. Thursday afternoon we dealt with the practical side: Representatives from Petzl UK and Edelrid presented new products and we tested the tie-in options for those to be rescued. In the evening there was a great exchange between the experts. The next morning, we continued with the basic module for rescue training, which was interactively filled with content and methods.

All in all, it was a great week with lots of sharing of approaches, opinions, methods etc. and lots of fun together.
