Description

Wooden poles are widely used in the ropes course industry. Poles have a limited product lifetime and are subject to deterioration over a period of time. The environment where ropes courses are situated may impel decay on wooden poles as well as the overall construction performance. A periodical pole inspection in ropes courses should be carried out a least each year by an experienced and competent inspector.

ERCA invites all interested professionals to attend and to become a competent wood pole inspector. During the 3-day course we share fundamental knowledge for inspection of wooden parts in ropes courses and train skills for how to inspect. Furthermore we present discard criteria for wooden poles and beams and show you how to record findings in a sample inspection form. In practical sessions you will inspect wooden poles yourself under our supervision. Once you have passed the written and practical assessment succesfully, you will become an ERCA certified Pole Inspector.

The course fulfils the requirements for the ERCA Inspector training scheme.
